Stretch?
A
gentle stretch aligns muscle fibers and nerves, as well as
blood and lymph systems, promoting flow and distribution of
synovial fluid in the joints. During the stretch, nerve activity
is awakened throughout the articulations involved, both in
the stretched muscles and in the flexed antagonistic muscles.
While stretching one establishes body awareness and his personal
full range of motion in each joint. Consequently, stiffness
is reduced, movement is enhanced, and most individuals experience
a more comfortable, productive day.
